Overview

The Sterilization Technician supports the safe, organized processing of reusable instruments and equipment. This hands-on role involves following established procedures, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating with colleagues to help ensure items are ready when needed. You’ll contribute to a dependable workflow that supports the people relying on properly processed equipment.

Duties

- Clean, inspect, prepare, and package instruments and equipment according to established procedures.
- Operate sterilization equipment as directed, monitor processing cycles, and document results accurately.
- Organize processed items, maintain orderly work areas, and report damaged equipment or process concerns to the appropriate colleague.
- Follow applicable safety and infection-prevention practices while handling instruments and supplies.





Skills

Required: Careful attention to detail, accurate recordkeeping, ability to follow IPAC procedures, and clear communication are essential for consistent processing and protected coordination. Preferred: Familiarity with dental terminology and related experience in instrument processing or a similar setting can help you recognize equipment, communicate effectively, and contribute smoothly to the team. Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 34.0 per week
