Experienced Construction Tradesperson

Ivy Homes Ltd. is a busy residential construction company building new single-family and multi-family homes and completing major renovations. We are looking for a highly skilled, experienced, and dependable tradesperson with extensive hands-on knowledge across all aspects of residential construction.

With an ongoing supply of projects and no shortage of work, we offer steady, year-round employment and long-term job security.

The ideal candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, works independently, and has the skills and practical knowledge to complete a wide range of construction tasks from start to finish.

Required Skills & Experience

Applicants must have strong skills across multiple trades, including:

- Carpentry & Framing: Residential framing, structural alterations, and general carpentry.
- Drywall: Installation, taping, mudding, and finishing.
- Finish Carpentry: Baseboards, casing, trim, doors, and detailed finishing work.
- Plumbing: Knowledge and experience with installations, alterations, and troubleshooting, within applicable licensing requirements.
- Electrical: Knowledge and experience with installations and troubleshooting, within applicable licensing requirements.
- Construction & Major Renovations: Extensive hands-on experience in new home construction, major renovations, and the coordination and sequence of work across trades.

Qualifications

- Extensive experience in residential construction and renovations, with a well-rounded understanding of all trades.
- Must possess a valid Ontario Full G driver’s licence.




- Ability to work independently, plan work efficiently, and manage multiple tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable, hardworking, and committed to quality workmanship.
- Ability to take assigned work from start to finish.
- Previous experience owning or operating a construction or renovation business is a strong asset.
