Express Employment Professionals is currently seeking a reliable, personable, and motivated Carpet Cleaning/Cleaning Associate for a local client.

Previous carpet cleaning experience is not required. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a commitment to professionalism and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform carpet cleaning services for residential and commercial clients.
- Operate professional carpet cleaning machinery and equipment, including truck-mounted units, portable units, powered extractors, and handheld wands.
- Inspect carpets to identify stains, damage, and other concerns before cleaning.
- Identify different carpet types and select appropriate cleaning techniques and treatments.
- Move light furniture as needed to prepare areas for cleaning.
- Communicate professionally with customers, explain the cleaning process, and establish realistic expectations.
- Identify and recommend additional services when appropriate, such as upholstery cleaning and protective coatings.
- Clean, maintain,



and care for machinery, equipment, and work areas.
- Follow established safety procedures and maintain a professional appearance when working at customer locations.

Qualifications and Requirements

- Minimum age of 25, as required by the employer's vehicle insurance policy.
- Valid Alberta Class 5 driver's licence, with a clean driving record.
- Must be able to provide a driver's abstract issued within the last 60 days.
- Reliable personal transportation to and from the workplace. Personal vehicles will not be required for work duties.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs or more and comfortably stand, bend, kneel, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
- Strong English communication skills, including reading, writing, and speaking, to understand safety procedures and communicate effectively with customers.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a professional, customer-focused attitude.
- Reliable, punctual, trustworthy, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Must be willing to complete a criminal background check, including a vulnerable sector search, will be required.
- Must supply personal CSA-approved steel-toe boots or safety shoes.

Assets, but not required:

- Previous carpet cleaning, upholstery cleaning, or floor care experience.
- Experience operating commercial cleaning equipment.
- Commercial driving experience.




- IICRC certification or related industry training.
