We are seeking a Financial Controller to join our growing team.
This role is ideal for a CPA who enjoys financial reporting, controls, systems, and business process improvement while working closely with leadership to support the continued growth of the business.
Reporting to senior management, the Financial Controller will be responsible for financial reporting, month-end close, internal controls, budgeting, audit coordination, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead month-end and year-end financial reporting activities
- Prepare and review financial statements and supporting analyses
- Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger integrity
- Manage budgeting and forecasting processes
- Coordinate external audits and tax compliance activities
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Support ERP and business systems improvement initiatives
- Assist management with financial analysis and decision support
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and efficiencies
Qualifications
- CPA designation
- Strong financial reporting and accounting experience
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or related industries is an asset
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Systems-oriented mindset with an interest in continuous improvement
- Hands-on approach and willingness to work across all aspects of the accounting function
