Grade and sort incoming metal at Radius Recycling while applying close visual inspection and safe material-handling skills. This physical position supports yard operations.

As a Grader/Sorter, you will evaluate metal products by appearance and quality for correct processing and usage. You will also support cleanup, maintenance, and scrap preparation throughout the yard. Experience in a scrap yard is preferred, while new tasks can be learned as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

- Grade incoming metal products by appearance and quality
- Sort scrap, metal, and debris for processing
- Complete yard cleanup, digging, sweeping, and brush maintenance
- Grease and clean the shear or shredder
- Report equipment deficiencies or malfunctions to supervisors

Requirements:

- Carry out written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions
- Speak and understand basic English
- Walk frequently across uneven ground
- Lift or carry up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Possess a valid driver's license and drive an automobile
