Build hands-on HSE experience with PCL in Edmonton, supporting workplace safety programs, hazard identification, and corporate initiatives. This student placement starts January 2027.

As a Health, Safety and Workplace Student, you will support PCL’s North American Headquarters district for four to twelve months. Reporting to the Director, HSE Programs, you will contribute to HSE programs, research, communications, documentation, and continuous improvement. The assignment includes practical exposure to workplace safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support HSE program development, implementation, and continuous improvement
- Research corporate HSE initiatives and strategic priorities
- Coordinate stakeholder reviews and maintain HSE documentation
- Participate in inspections,



hazard identification, and incident management
- Track committee actions and corrective action follow-up

Requirements:

- Foundational knowledge of HSE principles and risk assessment
- Ability to research information and identify improvements
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications
