As a Welcome Host, you will be instrumental in ensuring youth feel welcomed and valued. Your role involves guiding new participants through registration and offering friendly support in the drop-in program. Establishing relationships will be key to reinforcing a sense of belonging in the youth community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Act as the initial contact point for youth arrivals
• Check in youth using the attendance system
• Share program details with newcomers
• Foster connections among youth and leadership
• Participate in the post-program clean-up activities
Requirements:
• Ability to consistently volunteer at least once a week
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Eagerness to remember and address youth by name
• Commitment to creating a welcoming environment
• Openness to training and team-building activities
