Westman Groundworks is hiring a Snow Shovel Crew Lead for the winter season.
This is an on-call, weather-dependent position with no guaranteed hours. Applicants must be available on short notice and prepared for long shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
DUTIES
- Lead and work alongside a sidewalk-clearing crew
- Organize the route and assign work
- Transparent snow and ice from sidewalks, steps and entrances
- Operate snow blowers and sidewalk-clearing equipment
- Inspect completed properties and maintain route timing
- Communicate with supervisors and document completed work
REQUIREMENTS
- Valid Class 5 driver?s licence
- Phone with an active data plan
- Able to lead a crew and work independently
- Able to perform physical work in harsh winter conditions
- Dependable and available on short notice
Leadership, commercial snow-removal, trailer and sidewalk-equipment experience are assets.
