Facilitate secure, engaging camp activities as a Senior Camp Counsellor with the Town of Newmarket’s Recreation and Culture Team. Work seasonally during Winter Break Camp 2026.

This seasonal Recreation position supports programs for children and youth during Newmarket’s Winter Break Camps. You will lead activities, supervise campers, manage behaviours, and respond to emergencies. The work includes collaboration with counsellors, Inclusion Facilitators, and Camp Directors.

Key Responsibilities:

- Facilitate games, songs, crafts, swimming, and other activities
- Follow Town policies while supervising campers safely
- Manage camper behaviours and support inclusive programming
- Perform first aid and complete emergency documentation
- Answer enquiries from participants, families, and the public

Requirements:

- One to two years’ related experience with children or youth
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR-C certification
- Lifesaving Society Safeguard certification
- Current High Five child development certification
- Organizational, leadership, and communication skills
