The Heart Helper supports children ages 0 to 10 in a culturally appropriate, short-term placement program. Working with children, parents, families, and networks, this position contributes to care plans, supervision, relationship growth, and skill development. The work supports the program’s goal of reunification.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support and supervise children ages 0 to 10
- Provide a nurturing and loving workplace
- Support care plans and implement them with children
- Work with parents of children in placement
- Contribute cooperatively as a team member

Requirements:

- Child and Youth Care Diploma or acceptable equivalent
- Related experience; residential care experience is an asset
- Awareness of developmental and attachment needs
- Knowledge of Child Welfare Legislation and Standards
- First Aid/CPR and valid Manitoba Class 5 Driver’s License
