As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will support Sobeys, Safeway, Thrifty Foods, Foodland, Lawtons Drugs, or FreshCo pharmacies. Your work includes prescription assembly, compounding, pill pack assembly, and refill requests. You will also help schedule qualified clinical services and maintain accurate administrative records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble prescriptions and complete related data entry
- Process customer transactions for prescription receipt and release
- Receive refill requests in person and by telephone
- Complete compounding and pill pack assembly
- File prescriptions, order supplies, and maintain cleanliness
Requirements:
- Preferred Pharmacy Assistant Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institute
- Previous pharmacy experience is an asset
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and work independently
- Ability to follow applicable company standards
