Support school-age children as a part time Assistant Teacher at the YMCA Before & After School Program in Wasaga Beach. Use play-based learning and attentive supervision.

The YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka seeks an Assistant Teacher for its Wasaga Beach P.S. program. You will nurture children in a group of up to 15, independently maintaining safety and engagement. The work includes personal care, family communication, inclusive support, and YMCA Curriculum activities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise and actively engage up to 15 children
- Plan and implement YMCA Curriculum play-based learning
- Provide personal care, first aid, medication, and dietary monitoring
- Communicate professionally with families, staff, and volunteers
- Support children with exceptional behaviours and additional needs

Requirements:

- Minimum 18 years of age
- Current First Aid and CPR Level C certification
- Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check
- Availability weekdays, 25 hours, September through June
- Ability to lift 20 kilograms and work outdoors
