Key Responsibilities:

* Able and capable of training Associates how to be more proficient in their job duties and requirements, to set the standard for maximum performance
* Proficient at implementing the best and safest way to get the job done
* Conduct meetings, briefings to leads and floor staff regarding newly implemented procedures.
* Monitor workload and direct resources accordingly
* Proactively carry out all issues which are necessary to achieve shipping and receiving objectives
* Queue management to ensure picking/packing and staging of all materials




* Ability to use RF Gun
* Proactive communication skills
* High level of organization
* Team orientated approach to tasks with outstanding follow through
* Read, understand, and follow Vallen's health, safety, and environment policies and all applicable OH&S; legislation/regulations
* Actively participate in Vallen's health and safety management system, including training, audits, assessments, safety meetings, and inspections
* Identify, control, and report workplace hazards including following WHMIS/TDG requirements and reporting near misses
* Report workplace injuries immediately and participate in any return-to-work programs or requirements
* Be fit for duty and physically capable of performing all required tasks
* Other duties as required

Qualifications

Education and Training:

* High School Diploma required.
* First Aid Certification preferred
* WHMIS Certification preferred
* Forklift Certification preferred
