Support inclusive recreation in Newmarket by guiding participants with disabilities through safe activities and adapting programs to individual needs.

As a Senior Inclusion Facilitator with the Town of Newmarket’s Recreation and Culture Team, you will deliver programs, events, and services for participants with disabilities. You will guide group activities, manage behavioural challenges, provide personal care, and communicate with families. The seasonal, days-only position supports children, youth, and adults.

Key Responsibilities:

- Guide participants through secure, well-planned group activities
- Adapt activities and modify program plans when needed
- Manage behavioural challenges and maintain participant safety
- Provide toileting, changing, and feeding assistance




- Communicate with guardians and collaborate with program staff

Requirements:

- Post-secondary studies or one to two years’ relevant experience
- Ability to assist with adapted recreation, swimming, and skating
- Ability to assist with lifts and transfers
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR-C certification
- Current High Five certification and required behavioural certification
