Job Description: Reporting to the Manager, the Clinical Resource Nurse (CRN) is responsible for promoting the Mission, Vision and Under the direction of the Manager, the Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) integrates knowledge and skill reflective of the Health Services model of care and principles of adult learning, in the provision of education, research, and quality client centered care for a defined group of clients and programs. The incumbent will provide visible, proactive leadership and promote the delivery of client centered care through identified education programming. In collaboration with their Manager, the CNE is responsible for assessing learning needs of staff, planning, implementing, and evaluating education activities/programs. The Clinical Nurse Educator will use a consultative approach and research findings to provide support to health care professionals as appropriate. Positions will have specific responsibilities related to specialized client needs and clinical knowledge within designated units/programs.

Experience

- 1 year previous experience in adult education
- Requires experience in planning, program design, implementation, and evaluation.
- 3 years experience in clinical area within the past 5 years
- Requires experience in program/resource development related to needs assessment.
- Experience in teaching adults, facilitation skills, and leading group activities

Education

- Requires or in progress towards a recognized Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing




- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)

Licenses

- Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support Certificate (BCLS)

Other Education and Training
- Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support Certificate (BCLS)

Competencies

- Basic - Computer skills

Knowledge and Abilities

- Knowledge in principles of adult education
- Articulates theory and knowledge related to client centered care
