As a Senior Software Engineer on GitHub’s Ecosystem Events team, you will design, implement, test, ship, and support webhook improvements. You will maintain high-volume platforms, investigate delivery problems, and improve service operation. Distributed systems, APIs, and observability are central to the work.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, test, and ship webhook services and API improvements
- Build event-driven systems handling high traffic reliably
- Debug service-boundary problems and improve observability tooling
- Partner with infrastructure teams on performance and dependencies

Requirements:

- Six-plus years delivering production software or equivalent experience
- Two-plus years maintaining highly available, high-volume platforms
- Two-plus years building and maintaining event-driven systems
- Experience with Go, Ruby, or comparable programming languages
- Experience with scripting, cloud environments, queues, or databases preferred
