* Rate: $101/hour Overview The Ministry of Treasury Board Secretariat (Central Agencies Cluster) is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join their team onsite at 222 Jarvis Street, Toronto. In this role, the successful consultant will design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade web applications built on Microsoft .
NET technologies and hosted on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in C#, ASP.
NET, SQL Server, and cloud-based development, and can translate complex business requirements into secure, scalable application solutions.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-grade web applications using Microsoft .
NET technologies including ASP.
NET, C#, and Web APIs
• Translate business and technical requirements into well-structured, scalable, and secure application solutions
• Develop and maintain cloud-based solutions on Microsoft Azure, including application hosting, configuration, monitoring, and deployment
• Design, develop, and optimize SQL Server databases including stored procedures, queries, views, and data models
• Implement application integrations using RESTful APIs and service-based architectures
• Perform unit testing, debugging,



and code reviews to contribute to overall code quality and maintainability
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues throughout the full application lifecycle including development, deployment, and production support
• Support application releases, upgrades, data migrations, and environment transitions (e.g., on-premises to cloud)
• Contribute to solution design, technical documentation, and knowledge transfer activities
• Ensure solutions align with security, accessibility (AODA/WCAG), and enterprise architecture standards Must-Have Requirements

NET web application development using C#, ASP.
NET, and Web APIs
• Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Azure services including App Services, Azure SQL, Azure Storage, and Azure DevOps
• Strong experience with SQL Server and relational database design, performance tuning, and query optimization
• Broad experience across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance
• Proficiency with object-oriented design principles and modern design patterns
• Experience with version control, build pipelines, and CI/CD using Azure DevOps or equivalent tools
• Experience designing, coding,



testing, debugging, and documenting applications
• Experience with RESTful services, integration patterns, and secure data exchange Nice-to-Have Skills
• Experience developing internet-facing or cloud-native applications
• Experience with CI/CD automation and DevOps practices beyond basic pipeline usage

working hours
