Champion Petfoods seeks a Quality Assurance Technician skilled in SQF standards, food safety, laboratory testing, and accurate documentation.

Shift work applies.

This temporary maternity leave coverage position is expected to end on or before December 31, 2027.

The technician supports Protected Quality Foods standards across Champion Petfoods, maker of ORIJEN® and ACANA® products.

Responsibilities include implementing procedures, conducting sampling, documenting tests, and supporting sanitation practices.

Key Responsibilities: Develop and promote SQF food safety procedures
Perform pre-op inspections and verify critical control points
Prepare samples, equipment, and testing materials
Document tests, audits, samples, and quality processes
Conduct laboratory testing and analyze recorded results
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a scientific field
Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and quality systems
Experience with SQF or another GFSI system
Two to three years’ related quality assurance experience
Fluent English and Microsoft Office proficiency
Apply SQF knowledge, laboratory techniques, and analytical accuracy as a Quality Assurance Technician supporting Champion Petfoods.
