Support emergency veterinary care onsite in Etobicoke with triage, treatments, diagnostics, and compassionate communication with pet parents.
VEG is hiring a full time Emergency Veterinary Assistant for its hospital in Etobicoke, Ontario.

You will support registered veterinary technicians and veterinarians across emergency cases, including bloodwork, imaging, catheter placement, anesthesia, and medication administration.

Training supports continued growth.

Key Responsibilities: Welcome and triage incoming patients toward appropriate care
Assist with treatments, diagnostics, and veterinary care
Set up and monitor anesthesia and sedation cases
Manage IV fluids, transfusions, and medication administration
Participate in patient rounds and maintain care continuity
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required
At least one year as a veterinary assistant
Basic computer and medical record skills
Excellent communication with teams and pet parents
Availability for rotating nights, weekends, and holidays
Build emergency veterinary experience through triage, diagnostics, treatment support, and guided learning at VEG’s Etobicoke hospital.
