Advance grid analytics with AESO using Python and machine learning in a hybrid work workplace supporting Alberta’s power system. As a Senior Engineer or Senior Analyst, you will expand data-driven analytics across the Grid Analytics team. You will develop business intelligence platforms, analytical applications, and power system AI/ML solutions. Your work will inform reliability practices, system operations, planning, and market decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement cross-functional business intelligence platforms
- Conduct advanced analytics and communicate actionable findings
- Develop tools for simulations and operational forecasts
- Advance machine learning and agentic AI applications
- Conduct congestion and probabilistic engineering assessments
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline
- Ten or more years of relevant experience
- Advanced Python proficiency for analytical applications
- Experience developing business intelligence and visualization platforms
- Experience with machine learning or agentic AI Apply your engineering expertise, Python proficiency, and analytics experience to strengthen AESO’s transmission-system decision-making capabilities.
