Work remotely at Cameco’s Cigar Lake operation, using environmental monitoring and sampling skills while supporting compliance programs in northern Saskatchewan. This Senior Technician position supports the workplace officer and the site’s operations environmental compliance program. You will monitor environmental conditions, collect and prepare samples, process data, prepare reports, and share information with employees. Wildlife monitoring and environmental emergency response are also part of the work.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor environmental compliance activities in the field
- Collect water, air quality, and other samples
- Prepare and ship samples for analysis
- Assist wildlife management and monitoring activities
- Provide environmental training and emergency response support
Requirements:
- Environmental or radiation technician certificate or diploma
- Three to six years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated remote-location field experience
- Valid driver’s license, PAL, and PCOC
- Ability to work rotationally and commute by aircraft Bring remote field experience, environmental sampling capability, and compliance knowledge to Cameco’s Senior Technician team at Cigar Lake.
