Lead South Services in Edmonton with strategic education leadership, school authority oversight, and trusted stakeholder relationships across southern Alberta. This is a full time permanent position. Reporting to the Executive Director, Field Services, the Director provides strategic and operational leadership to the South Services Branch. You will lead regional services, monitor legislative and accountability requirements, and advise senior officials and the Minister. The work supports public, separate, Francophone, charter, and independent school authorities.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead regional services for school authorities and education partners
- Oversee compliance with legislation, regulations, policies, and standards
- Review education plans, results reports, and operating plans
- Provide briefings, policy analysis,



and strategic recommendations
- Lead mediation, negotiation, and consensus-building during sensitive situations

Requirements:
- Related bachelor’s degree or directly related equivalency
- Seven years of progressively responsible related experience
- Strategic leadership across education services and stakeholder relationships
- Experience with governance, accountability, compliance, and improvement planning
- Ability to travel within Alberta approximately 10% of work time Bring systems thinking, collaborative leadership, and sound judgment to strengthen Alberta’s K-12 education system through South Services.
