Ethier Sand & Gravel is looking for a hard-working, self-motivated employee with a proven record of safety and reliability to fill the position of Skilled Labourer In the Sudbury, Ontario Area. This Full-time seasonal position comes with competitive wages, a pension, and a perks package.

Job Duties & Responsibilities :

- Safely and efficiently operate company equipment and tools.
- Assist equipment operators and other skilled labourers when necessary.
- Assist with moving trucks and loading/unloading materials
- Maintain the yard and work site by removing trash, debris, and other waste materials
- Responsible for following all safety protocols and procedures.
- Work in inclement weather conditions.
- Identify, report and correct hazards.
- Maintain a clean and tidy work environment and equipment.
- Perform regular cleaning of motor vehicles and mobile equipment to control dust (inside and outside cab).
- Physical work includes lifting (up to 50 lbs.), bending, crouching, climbing, crawling and reaching repeatedly throughout the workday.
- Travel to job sites when required, including overnight stays on occasion
- Shift Work including Monday to Friday, 12-hour shifts, with occasional weekend work as required.
- Team player and display professionalism toward our company and customers.
- Work in accordance with all internal, client and regulated health and safety policies, procedures and/or regulations, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Qualifications : Education :

- Valid G Class Driver’s License is required.
- Surface Miner Common Core is considered an asset.
- Experience in crushing and screening operations is an asset.
- Highschool diploma or equivalent is considered an asset.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :





- Successfully passed comprehensive pre-employment third party testing requirements (drug and alcohol testing and a Criminal Background Check (CPIC) and any other requirements they impose on contractors).
- Mechanically inclined.
- Ability to manage risks and adapt to unexpected changes.
- Proven ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a cheerful outlook and providing exemplary customer service.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal staff and external stakeholders.
- An ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously and deal effectively with people using a facilitative approach.
- Ability to repetitively lift, carry, and move objects up to 50 lbs.
- Intermediate computer proficiency (MS Office - Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Ability to adapt to last-minute changes as dictated by the needs of our customers.
