Based out of our Calgary Plant, the Truck Washer is responsible for washing all company vehicles, trailers, containers, and mobile equipment in a safe and efficient manner, while maintaining the washing system and reporting any deficiencies to their Supervisor. Truck Washers also record and maintain all related information on checklists and washing sheets. WHY JOIN OUR TEAM? - Build a secure career at a reputable company with more than 450 employees - Competitive wages - Continuous in-house training opportunities available - Comprehensive compensation package offered to full-time employees including employer-paid extended health benefits - Life insurance - Generous RRSP matching for employee contributions after 1 year - Discretionary annual bonus - Opportunities for career advancement KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Wash and disinfect the plant site, pits, pipes, countertops, roofs, drains, and other areas - Conduct safety pre-trip inspections on the site forklifts and submit record logs to the Supervisor - Clean the yard and all pit areas including the walls and basement areas - Depackage and unbox raw material in an efficient manner - Unload raw materials and finished product totes from trucks - May be asked to safely operate forklifts and other hoisting devices when necessary - Perform shift work based on company business needs which evolve and change in response to customer demands - Work overtime as instructed to ensure mínimal downtime of facilities - Foster a positive team and company culture by ensuring treatment of others is respectful and aligned with company values - Perform other duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS - Possesses strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP practices - Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, with excellent communication skills - Ability to read or interpret diagrams, schematic drawings and manuals to determine work procedures - Ability to frequently move, carry, lift, push and pull equipment up to 50 lbs without assistance and occasionally greater with assistance - Perform repetitive motions including bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing and reaching overhead above the shoulders daily - Adaptable to adverse conditions including confined space, heights, cold weather, odours and animal by-products Thank you in advance for your interest in this opportunity, however, only those individuals who are selected for an interview will be contacted.
