After-School Family Assistant & Cook Needed Location: South Langley, BC Hours: 20 hours per week (Monday-Thursday | 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM) Compensation: $25/hour About Our Family: We are a busy qualified family with two school-aged children (ages 6 and 10). We are looking for an organized, proactive, and reliable Family Assistant / After-School Nanny to help our late afternoons and evenings run smoothly. Key Responsibilities: Meal Preparation & Lunch Packing: -Prepare fresh, nutritious daily dinners for a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids). -Pack school lunches for both kids and work lunches for 1 adult for the following day. Household Organization & Tidying: -Keep the kitchen and living spaces tidy (dishwasher loading/unloading, wiping counters, sweeping/tidying post-dinner, and organizing common areas). -Laundry Childcare & Homework: -Welcome the kids home, remind them to do homework/reading, provide healthy snacks, and support after-school/evening routines. Sample Daily Schedule (3:00 PM - 8:00 PM): 3:00 PM - 3:30 PM: Kitchen reset, dinner prep start 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM: Kids arrive home; provide after-school snacks, remind to do homework, activity supervision, fold laundry 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM: Finish cooking dinner, pack tomorrow's lunches, and facilitate dinner time. 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM: Kitchen cleanup (dishes, counters, leftover storage), tidy living areas, and assist with evening routines. Ideal Candidate Qualifications: -Strong cooking skills and comfort preparing wholesome family meals independently. -Highly organized, self-motivated, and efficient with time management. -Experience with early elementary/middle-years children (ages 6-10). -Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record and reliable vehicle. -Current CPR / First Aid Certification (or willingness to complete).
