Central Fairbank is looking for friendly and dedicated sales staff for our retail store . You will provide service to our valued customers who purchase lumber, hardware and construction supplies from us.

If you have experience in the lumber, hardware, paint or a construction related industry and can provide excellent customer service to our customers, we want to meet you!

LOCATION : Concord, Ontario (Steeles Ave West and Dufferin St. area)

JOB DESCRIPTION :

- Serve as the company’s representative in providing the highest level of attention and dedication to our customers’ needs
- Provide friendly customer service with the ability to confidently explain the products available and assist the customer in choosing what best fits their needs
- Foster long term relationships with customers by showing them the respect and attention they deserve
- Show enthusiasm for our customer’s projects and offer product suggestions that may assist them
- Answer customer’s questions in a manner that matches the customer’s knowledge/experience
- Assist in maintaining product stock levels and the clean,



organized & safe condition of the store
- Contribute to a positive team environment
- Abide by the policies and procedures established by Central Fairbank Lumber and adhere to its safety practices.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS :

- Knowledge/experience with lumber, hardware, paint or construction products
- Customer focused
- Physically able to lift products that weigh up to 10 kg
- Ability to work in a fast paced customer service environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multi-task and handle several different priorities at once.
- Technically able to use a computer, a point of sale (POS) system

REQUIRED EDUCATION :

- High school or equivalent

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE :

- retail sales: 2 years
- lumber, paint, construction products knowledge or related experience: 1 year
