We are looking for a warm, caring, patient, and reliable part-time nanny to care for our toddler son in our home in Renfrew NE, Calgary. We are expecting our second baby in February 2027 and would love to find someone who can build a genuine connection with our son before the baby arrives. We're hoping to find someone who can become a familiar, trusted, and consistent presence in his life. A Little About Our Son Our son is a sweet, curious, playful, and observant little boy who enjoys exploring, playing, and spending time outdoors. Like many toddlers, he can be outgoing and adventurous at times, while other times he prefers to observe and take his time getting comfortable with new people. He's becoming more independent and loves discovering new things, but also appreciates reassurance and familiarity. We'd love someone who understands his personality, respects his pace, and helps him feel safe, comfortable, and happy. What We're Looking For Character and personality are our top priorities. Above all, we're looking for someone who is genuinely kind, gentle, patient, trustworthy, dependable, and nurturing. While childcare experience is certainly valuable, we believe a caregiver's character, attitude, emotional maturity, and connection with our son are just as important, if not more so. Responsibilities * Provide attentive, loving, and age-appropriate care for our toddler * Engage him in interactive play, reading, music,



and activities * Take him for walks, playground visits, and local outings * Prepare simple meals and snacks * Help maintain his daily routine, including naps * Encourage his curiosity, independence, and development through play * Provide comfort and reassurance when needed * Light tidying related to childcare, such as cleaning up toys and after meals Our priority is our son's safety, happiness, and well-being rather than housekeeping. Position Details Location: Renfrew NE, Calgary Start Date: Ideally mid November 2026 Position: Part-time, live-out, long-term preferred Schedule: Approximately 3 days per week, 4 hours per day to start (flexible) Future Hours: Potential to increase to 4-5 days per week after our second baby arrives in February 2027 Compensation: $23-$27/hour, depending on qualifications and experience Language: English is perfectly fine; additional languages are not required. I'll generally be home before and after the baby arrives, and family members may also be present. We're looking for someone comfortable working alongside us while also being confident caring for our son independently, including taking him on outings.
