We are looking for a part-time Sales Associate with an interest in beading and/or crafts to start as soon as possible. This is an in-person position with weekend shifts.

Schedule:

- Saturdays: 9:45am - 6:15pm
- Sundays: 10:45am - 5:15pm
- Includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch break
- Must be available to work every weekend
- Must have your own reliable transportation to Wahnapitae (public transit is not available in the area)

Consistent, on-time attendance is essential for this role. Our small team relies on each person to be present and ready to work for all scheduled shifts.

Main Purpose of the Job: Your primary role is to welcome customers, offer help, and provide friendly, knowledgeable service in our bead and craft store. You will also support our online store by communicating with customers, preparing and shipping orders, and you will help keep the store organized, clean, and well-stocked.

Duties and Responsibilities: Customer service - in store:

- Greet every customer as they enter the store and make them feel welcome.
- Offer assistance, answer questions, and help customers choose products that suit their needs.
- Provide personal, attentive service on the sales floor.
- Process sales transactions on the Point of Sale system and bag merchandise.

Store operations:

- Learn and follow opening and closing procedures.
- Unpack shipments and double-check packing slips/invoices.
- Package, price, and neatly display merchandise.
- Box and label extra stock.
- Take regular inventory counts and restock shelves and displays.
- Maintain clean, organized aisles, displays,



and work areas.

Online orders and administration (after training on the above):

- Pick, pack, and ship online orders accurately and on time.
- Process payments, prepare shipping labels, and complete end-of-day procedures.

Qualifications:

- Must speak, read, and write English and have good basic math skills.
- Ability to speak and write in French is a strong asset.
- Comfortable using computers and learning new programs.
- Previous cashier and/or retail sales experience is preferred.
- Must be available for the full schedule listed above, including weekends as needed.
- Reliable and punctual: able to consistently arrive on time and work all scheduled shifts.
- Eager to learn, hard working, and attentive to detail.
- Outgoing and friendly personality: you enjoy greeting people and starting conversations.
- Able to provide exceptional, personal customer service and work as part of a team.
- Able to handle customer issues calmly and professionally.
- Comfortable standing and walking for most of the shift and working in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions:

- Job may require prolonged periods of standing, walking, or sitting indoors.




- Use of regular household cleaning products (for example: all-purpose cleaner, glass cleaner).
- During winter, you may occasionally need to go outside briefly to clear snow from the deck, handicap ramp, or in front of the stairs.

Physical Requirements:

- Able to stand, sit, bend, stretch, walk, squat, and kneel.
- Able to lift up to 30 kg safely.
- Able to make quick decisions, problem-solve, read and write, and interpret basic data (labels, invoices, inventory sheets).
