Our 95-year-old father enjoys going out in his car every day, and we're looking for a wonderful caregiver who can help him stay active and comfortable at home. We're hoping to find someone with experience supporting people living with dementia, health care aide training or other health care training, and a valid BC driver's licence. Our family can provide a car for use on the job. The role includes helping with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, walking and range-of-motion exercises. You would also plan daily activities, visits and outings, escort him to appointments, prepare meals, shop for groceries, run errands and help keep his home clean and tidy, including laundry and dishes. You should be comfortable working independently in a home setting. We're looking for someone who is a positive fit for our father and ideally interested in a long-term position. We hope to find someone who can start immediately. Live-in or live-out arrangements and full-time or part-time work are possible, with approximately 30-40 hours per week and the opportunity for extra hours as needed. Care may be needed on any day of the week, including mornings, afternoons, evenings and nights.
