On behalf of our Mining & Natural Resources Client, Ignite Technical Resources is recruiting for a SAP Functional Analyst: S/4HANA MM, EWM & Coupa to join our Client's team on a contract basis. This role is Primarily Onsite and the Client is based in Calgary, AB or Vancouver, BC.

Summary of the Role

The SAP Functional Analyst will support, configure, and enhance SAP S/4HANA Materials Management (MM), Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), and Coupa solutions across procurement, inventory, supply chain, and warehouse operations. This role focuses on optimizing business processes, maintaining system integrations, resolving functional issues, and delivering system improvements within a mining environment. Responsibilities include SAP configuration, business requirements analysis, testing, production support, and implementation of scalable solutions supporting corporate and operational sites.

Duties & Responsibilities

Configure, maintain, and optimize SAP S/4HANA MM and EWM functionality across procurement, inventory, warehouse management, stock transfers, and materials management.

Support Coupa procurement capabilities, including purchasing, supplier management, approval workflows, and invoice processing.

Translate business requirements into SAP functional specifications, system configurations, and process improvements.

Support integrations between SAP, Coupa, Finance, Maintenance, and other enterprise applications.

Develop functional documentation, business process flows, configuration specifications, and training materials.

Coordinate system integration testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), defect resolution, and deployment activities.

Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective solutions.

Support SAP enhancements, upgrades, releases,



and continuous improvement initiatives.

Deliver end-user training and technical support across corporate offices and remote operational sites.

Maintain SAP data quality, governance standards, internal controls, and established configuration practices.

Core Requirements

7+ years of SAP functional experience, including hands-on configuration, implementation, and support within SAP S/4HANA environments.

Strong experience with SAP Materials Management (MM), including purchasing, inventory management, material master data, vendor management, and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes.

Experience configuring and supporting SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), including inbound and outbound processes, physical inventory, and warehouse execution.

Experience supporting Coupa Procurement, including purchasing workflows, supplier enablement, invoice management, and SAP integrations.

Strong knowledge of enterprise supply chain processes and integration points between SAP MM, EWM, Finance, Maintenance, and third-party applications.

Desired Skills & Experience

Experience supporting SAP solutions within mining, energy, manufacturing, or other asset-intensive industries.

Experience integrating SAP S/4HANA with Coupa and other enterprise procurement or financial applications.

Knowledge of SAP master data management, materials planning, warehouse operations, and inventory control.





Experience with system integration testing, user acceptance testing, change management, and SAP enhancement initiatives.

Experience supporting SAP users across multiple business locations, including remote industrial or operational sites.

Terms

This is a 12-month contract opportunity based in Calgary, AB or Vancouver, BC, with a primarily onsite work arrangement. Occasional travel to mine sites will be required to support operational activities and business needs. Candidates must be able to work onsite at the designated office location and meet travel requirements. Reference checks are required as part of the pre-employment process.
