As Lead AI Backend Engineer, you will set architecture for an agent-powered platform serving digital identity and security needs. You will guide high-throughput APIs, multi-agent orchestration, retrieval-augmented generation, and model-provider integrations. The work spans reliability, quality, latency, cost, and security targets.

Key Responsibilities:

- Set architecture for agent-powered platforms and microservice patterns
- Drive .NET, C#, Python, FastAPI, SQLModel, and Semantic Kernel APIs
- Lead multi-agent handoff, sequential, parallel, and supervisor orchestration
- Guide retrieval-augmented generation with vector and hybrid search




- Partner with Product and Security on technical roadmaps

Requirements:

- Seven-plus years building and scaling production backend systems
- Two-plus years in technical lead, staff, principal, or equivalent roles
- Expertise in REST APIs, FastAPI or .NET C#, and distributed systems
- Production experience with agent frameworks, tool calling, and workflows
- Production RAG experience with measurable latency and quality KPIs
