As Director, Origination, you will source, qualify, structure, negotiate, and shepherd commercial mortgage transactions through funding. The senior, revenue-generating role serves borrowers, developers, brokers, lenders, and capital providers. You will collaborate with underwriting, credit, partner, legal, appraisal, and lender teams while managing a personal pipeline.

Key Responsibilities:

- Source and close commercial mortgage opportunities across target markets
- Build territory and account plans to grow deal flow
- Manage borrower, broker, developer, and lender relationships
- Prepare indicative terms and negotiate commitment letters
- Track pipeline activity and closed transactions in CRM systems

Requirements:

- Five to seven years in commercial mortgage origination or lending
- Established Canadian commercial real estate relationship book
- BCFSA or equivalent provincial sub-mortgage broker licensing eligibility
- Understanding of mortgage products, underwriting, LTV, and debt-service metrics
- Solid sales, negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
