About Savvy Law Firm Marketing
Savvy Law Firm Marketing is a specialist digital marketing agency helping law firms across the United States and Canada attract more qualified inquiries and grow their practices. Backed by Savvy Search Marketing’s experience since 2005, we bring together SEO, paid search, websites, lead tracking and AI-supported analysis.
The opportunity
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on SEO consultant to lead strategic audits and improvements across existing law firm accounts. You will independently assess each account, identify the most significant weaknesses and opportunities, develop clear implementation plans and drive agreed work through execution and verification.
You should be comfortable challenging existing approaches, investigating why previous work has not produced the intended results, and explaining what should change. Your recommendations must be grounded in evidence and practical within each client’s scope and budget.
You will collaborate with our content, web and project specialists, personally completing work within your expertise and providing clear requirements for work delivered by others. Building and improving reusable AI skills and tools is an important part of the engagement.
What you will do
- Lead strategic account audits covering on-site SEO, technical health, local visibility, business listings, content, authority and conversion opportunities.
- Audit crawlability, indexing, site structure, internal links, metadata, structured data, mobile usability and key conversion paths. Explain the likely impact of confirmed issues.
- Review Google Business Profiles, including business information, categories, services, locations, reviews and local competitor coverage.
- Audit PAWN: Phone, Address, Website and Name across websites, citations and directory profiles. Identify outdated locations, duplicates, incomplete attorney profiles and discrepancies, and establish a practical correction plan.
- Assess practice and location pages, attorney biographies, credentials, case results, content overlap and gaps in answering prospective clients’ questions. Recommend updates, new content or consolidation where supported by evidence.
- Evaluate visibility in Google organic search, Maps and AI-generated answers. Document the queries and conditions checked, separate observations from assumptions, and identify relevant competitor opportunities.
- Use search, analytics, local ranking and lead-quality data to prioritise work that can contribute to qualified inquiries, rather than reporting activity alone.
- Produce concise, executable plans showing the issue or opportunity, source evidence, recommended action, priority, dependencies, proposed responsibility and completion criteria.
- Drive agreed plans through execution. Implement SEO changes within your expertise, coordinate requirements with our content and web specialists, and flag access or technical blockers promptly.
- Verify changes on live websites and external platforms. Distinguish requested, submitted, published and checked work, and assess subsequent results.
- Build, test and improve reusable AI skills, prompts and tools supporting research, audits, competitor analysis, content assessment, planning, implementation and quality control.
- Improve existing AI workflows and incorporate relevant account data where appropriate. Validate findings against source evidence and document workflows so others can use them reliably.
- Communicate clear findings and progress updates, including what matters, what should happen next and what remains unresolved.
What you bring
- Substantial hands-on SEO experience with evidence of strategic account diagnosis, prioritisation and implementation. Law firm SEO experience is strongly preferred; exceptional experience in other competitive, lead-generation industries will also be considered.
- Strong practical understanding of technical SEO, on-site optimisation, local SEO, GBP, citations, content strategy and website conversion opportunities.
- Ability to interpret Google Search Console, analytics, crawl and local ranking data, and connect findings to commercial priorities and lead quality.
- Experience using AI beyond one-off content generation: building or improving reusable workflows, checking outputs, recognising limitations and demonstrating practical benefits. ChatGPT, Claude or comparable platforms are relevant; custom software development is not required.
- Clear written communication, sound judgment and the ability to turn complex findings i
