Lead health and safety training in Ottawa while strengthening safe behaviours, regulatory compliance, and workplace practices across Battlefield Equipment Rentals.

As a Health and Safety Specialist, you will promote Battlefield’s safety culture across the region. You will develop training programs, support operations, and apply health and safety policies. The position involves audits, investigations, incident reporting, and collaboration with Health and Safety Committees.

Key Responsibilities:

- Model secure, environmentally sound, and healthy work behaviours
- Develop preventive programs, policies, procedures, and OHS action plans
- Deliver OHS training and support the Safety Training Matrix
- Administer inspections, audits, investigations, and corrective follow-up
- Support incident reporting, claims management, and Return to Work Programs

Requirements:

- At least two years’ training experience developing engaging learning plans
- Strong written, verbal, and public speaking skills
- Knowledge of legislative and regulatory safety requirements
- Microsoft Office proficiency and strong documentation skills
- Full G Class driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract
