Commercial Property Claims Adjusters investigate complex losses for Aviva Canada from a home-based position serving the Greater Toronto Area. Apply property insurance expertise, negotiation, and customer service skills.

This Field Adjuster role supports Aviva’s Property Field Claims team. You will handle first-party commercial claims involving buildings, business income, stock, cargo, builder’s risk, crime, and equipment. The work requires sound coverage decisions, accurate claim valuations, and collaboration with customers, brokers, lawyers, vendors, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

- Complete onsite or virtual inspections of commercial claims
- Investigate, negotiate, and settle commercial property claims
- Validate vendor estimates for appropriate pricing and scope
- Review policies, reports, leases, and related claim evidence
- Issue payments and communicate claim status promptly

Requirements:

- Two or more years handling commercial lines claims
- At least one year handling first-party commercial claims
- Solid property insurance and customer service background
- Computer proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook, and Guidewire
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to pursue CIP
