Apply process engineering and papermaking knowledge as a Papermill Technical Assistant supporting secure, efficient mill operations. English communication is required, with French considered an asset.

Reporting to the Manager of Manufacturing Services, this position supports process optimization, operating departments, and technical improvements. The work includes troubleshooting, data analysis, statistical guidelines, process safety, environmental impact, quality, production, and cost performance. It also supports manufacturing process design and capital expenditure development.

Key Responsibilities:

- Promote workplace safety and support the Health and Safety Program
- Maintain communications about mill and department priorities
- Identify process and operating procedure improvements
- Optimize process set points,



statistical guidelines, and operating assets
- Provide technical guidance, analysis, and rotating weekend supervisory coverage

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably Chemical or Process Engineering
- Minimum two years of experience
- English spoken and written communication skills
- French language skills considered an asset
- Papermaking experience or professional engineering membership considered assets

Support papermill safety, optimization, troubleshooting, and quality improvements through process engineering and technical analysis.
