This Senior Accountant oversees day-to-day accounting as Arbutus Medical scales its medical device operations. The position reviews transactional accounting, strengthens controls, and partners with operations and leadership. It requires full-cycle accounting, reconciliations, financial reporting, and audit preparation experience.

Key Responsibilities:

- Execute the complete month-end close accurately and on time
- Lead balance sheet and key account reconciliations
- Review accounts payable, payroll, and employee expenses
- Investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions
- Prepare audits and coordinate external auditor requests

Requirements:

- Five or more years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience owning month-end close and full-cycle accounting
- Experience leading the client side of an audit
