About the role

As part of Enterprise Shared Data Management Services and Operations, the Senior Analyst will assess controls used to mitigate risks in critical risk reports. The role evaluates control adequacy and effectiveness, including compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

- Support risk-based scoping and deliver timely, accurate control assessment reviews.
- Work with CDO teams, lines of business and IT partners to track and advise on appropriate action plans addressing identified issues.
- Contribute to business rule control development, effectiveness documentation and annual reviews.
- Perform data analytics on risks and controls, and support responses to Internal Audit and external regulatory enquiries.
- Support methodology improvements, stakeholder management, committee reporting and automation initiatives.

Qualifications

Required: Experience in regulatory compliance, risk management and/or internal audit at a financial institution; knowledge of regulatory compliance risk management best practices, data transfer, input and authorization controls, data transformation controls, and enterprise operational and information management risk.

Preferred: Data governance certification, Agile/JIRA experience, consulting experience, or broad compliance experience across areas such as surveillance, advisory, monitoring and testing, branch review, complaint handling, investigations, regulatory reporting or critical data processes.

Full time, 37.5 hours per week, salaried. Location: 175 Western Parkway, Bedford, Nova Scotia, Canada.
