Develop structural design skills with TYLin as a Buildings Engineering Intern in Calgary, supporting building projects through modeling and field reviews.

This full time Summer 2027 internship is based in TYLin’s Calgary office. You will support structural engineering for commercial, institutional, and residential buildings. The work spans conceptual design through construction, including renovations, adaptive reuse, and historic preservation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist project teams with structural designs and building drawings
- Support projects from conceptual design through construction
- Perform field reviews during construction and existing-building visits
- Document existing conditions at buildings




- Assist with computer modeling and hand calculations

Requirements:

- Current third-year undergraduate or graduate Civil Engineering standing
- Architectural Engineering students focused on structures may apply
- At least one steel or concrete design class completed
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and engineering software
- Strong organization, communication, integrity, and collaboration skills
