This City Planner supports city pickup and delivery operations within an LTL transportation environment. The position develops the following day’s plan, coordinating routes, drivers, equipment, dock labour, and incoming freight. Strong organization, TruckMate knowledge, and operational judgment support practical planning decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan daily city pickup and delivery routes
- Coordinate customer appointments, driver starts, and equipment requirements
- Allocate five-ton trucks, tractors, and contracted carriers
- Monitor inbound trailers and update arrival estimates
- Prepare driver schedules, route plans, and dock requirements

Requirements:

- Previous LTL transportation experience preferred
- Experience with route planning and driver scheduling
- Knowledge of equipment allocation and dock operations
- TruckMate or similar transportation management system experience preferred
- Robust organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
