Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Assistant handles repairs and maintenance operations across a retirement residence. The work supports independent living, assisted living, and memory care environments. Responsibilities include painting, minor carpentry, grounds maintenance, inspections, reporting, and protected work practices.

Key Responsibilities:

- Execute routine repairs on electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and building equipment
- Paint, perform minor carpentry, and maintain exterior grounds
- Inspect premises for maintenance and safety concerns
- File required reports with the supervisor
- Complete housekeeping, maintenance, and assigned duties as required

Requirements:

- Follow oral and written instructions in English
- Work independently and self-regulate effectively
- Perform physical duties, including moving heavy objects
- Complete minor facility and equipment repairs
- Provide or obtain a current Vulnerable Sector Check
