The City of Yellowknife seeks a Senior Planner for its Planning and Setting Division. Reporting to the Manager, Planning and Environment, you will guide complex projects and policy development. Your work will support strategic goals through research, recommendations, and public-facing planning documents. Key Responsibilities:

Lead major planning and development projects aligned with strategic goals Recommend decisions on complex development permits Prepare policy and bylaw documents for review Conduct research and deliver data-driven municipal reports Mentor junior staff on policies and best practices Requirements:

University degree in urban and regional planning At least six years of planning experience Full membership in good standing with CIP and APPI Experience creating visual aids using ArcGIS and AutoCAD Valid NWT Class 5 Driver’s License Use municipal planning, policy development, and leadership expertise to help shape Yellowknife’s future through complex projects.
