Lead humanoid robotics prototyping at Humanoid in Vancouver, combining hands-on engineering with technical leadership across complex electromechanical systems.

As Senior Prototype Engineer, you will develop, assemble, integrate, commission, and validate robotic hands, arms, end-effectors, actuators, and sensors. You will guide engineers and technicians, establish workflows, and collaborate with Mechanical, Electrical, Embedded Software, and Controls teams.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead complex robotic prototype development from build through validation
- Direct engineers and technicians while resolving technical challenges
- Integrate, calibrate, and optimize actuators, encoders, and sensors
- Drive troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and design iteration
- Establish assembly, testing, and validation procedures

Requirements:

- 10+ years in robotics prototyping or electromechanical integration
- 5+ years directing technician groups in research and development
- Solid experience building and troubleshooting robotic systems
- Degree in robotics, mechatronics, engineering, or equivalent experience
- Experience mentoring teams and coordinating technical execution
