Post Anaesthetic Room This position may be scheduled at any of the following sites: Regular, Part time Contract Duration: (If applicable) ONA Local 75 Hourly Rate (Min / Max): $Holidays, Monday to Sunday Days, Evenings, Nights, On Call, Stand-by Shift: Shift Start: (If applicable) Reason for Posting: Posting is for a role with an existing vacancy The Registered Nurse (RN) is a regulated health care qualified who adheres to and models the Standards and Guidelines of the College of Nurses of Ontario; the SJHH mission, vision and values, policies and procedures; The RN provides patient/client-centred and evidence informed care to promote health and assess the need for the provision of care and the treatment of health conditions by supportive, preventative, therapeutic, palliative and rehabilitation means in order to attain or maintain optimal patient/client function. The RN collaborates with the inter-professional team and assumes a leadership role in the delivering a full range of care and treatment to patient/clients including those with complex needs, high acuity and less predictable outcomes. Current registration with Colleges of Nurses of Ontario required Must have a minimum of 2 years related current experience in critical care nursing (i.e. PACU, intensive care, emergency, etc) required Minimum 2 years post-operative surgical nursing preferred Demonstrated knowledge, sensitivity and expertise in the care of seniors and their families Gentle Persuasive Approach training preferred Critical Care Course an asset Cardiac arrhythmia monitoring and interpretation required Willingness and ability to work the shifts as required in order to meet the needs of the unit for pre-booked and relief tours A resume regarding further education, special courses and experience should accompany the application Joseph's Health System (SJHS) and its member organizations are equal opportunity employers and strives for equity, inclusiveness, and diversity in all programs, practices, facilities, and people.
