Lead electrical design projects for LAPORTE’s Alberta operations, applying power system expertise across Calgary, Edmonton, or Lethbridge. Hybrid work includes office collaboration. LAPORTE seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer consultant for autonomous project ownership. You will interpret specifications, resolve design and field difficulties, coordinate schedules, and support commissioning or power system studies. Industry experience may include agri-food, pharmaceutical, or food and beverage projects.

Key Responsibilities

Own assigned projects from concept through completion Interpret specifications and resolve design difficulties Coordinate manufacturers, suppliers, and multidisciplinary teams Prepare project specifications and technical reports Support client interactions and business development activities

Requirements:

BS or MS in Electrical Engineering Minimum seven to eight years of relevant consulting experience Professional Engineer designation Solid written and oral stakeholder communication skills Experience leading design projects, proposals, or commissioning Bring independent judgment, electrical consulting experience, and stakeholder communication skills to LAPORTE’s Alberta design practice.
