Support patients through withdrawal care as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Health PEI’s Provincial Addiction Treatment Facility in Charlottetown. This permanent part-time role includes rotating shifts. Working under a Registered Nurse’s direction, the Licensed Practical Nurse provides care to patients admitted to the Transition Unit. The position involves assessment, medication administration, therapeutic support, documentation, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team. Assess recent admissions and document medical, psychiatric, and substance abuse histories Provide personal care and monitor assigned patients Document client progress and communicate issues during shift changes Complete an approved Licensed Practical Nurse education program Hold active or eligible Prince Edward Island nursing registration Provide satisfactory criminal record and vulnerable sector checks Apply practical nursing, withdrawal assessment, medication administration, and therapeutic care skills within Health PEI’s Transition Unit. #
