- Grafana Cloud is a composable observability platform that integrates metrics, logs, traces, and profiles with Grafana. It lets customers use open-source observability software- including Prometheus, Mimir, Loki, Tempo, and Pyroscope as a Cloud service or on-premise solution without the overhead of installing, maintaining, and scaling their own observability stack
- The Databases team owns the telemetry databases Mimir for metrics, Loki for logs, Tempo for traces, and Pyroscope for profiles. These open-source projects are also offered as a Cloud service supporting Grafana Cloud and as an on-premise solution. They are multi-tenant distributed systems implemented in Go and running on Kubernetes across major cloud service providers (GCP, Azure, and AWS). Engineers also work on Prometheus, Grafana Alloy, Mimir proxies, and OpenTelemetry
- Design, build, operate, and maintain critical systems, owning their reliability, performance, and availability
- Take an active role in influencing the roadmap and your own career objectives
- Work with your team to deliver new features, then use the results to iterate and improve
- Drive projects from initial ideation through to operations once they are in customers' hands
- Embrace the open-source culture and contribute to other projects that may not directly fall within your team’s scope
- Participate in your team’s on-call rotations and take ownership of the services you run
- Mentor and support other team members, participate in design discussions, and collaborate with the team
- Learn recent skills by gaining a deeper understanding of the cloud product and customers and getting to know the codebase of a large distributed system
- As the engineering organisation is largely remote,
