Key Responsibilities:

Able and capable of training Associates how to be more proficient in their job duties and requirements, to set the standard for maximum performance

Proficient at implementing the best and safest way to get the job done

Conduct meetings, briefings to leads and floor staff regarding newly implemented procedures.

Monitor workload and direct resources accordingly

Proactively carry out all issues which are necessary to achieve shipping and receiving objectives

Queue management to ensure picking/packing and staging of all materials

Ability to use RF Gun

Proactive communication skills

High level of organization

Team orientated approach to tasks with outstanding follow through

Read, understand, and follow Vallen's health, safety, and environment policies and all applicable OH&S; legislation/regulations

Actively participate in Vallen's health and safety management system, including training, audits, assessments, safety meetings, and inspections

Identify, control, and report workplace hazards including following WHMIS/TDG requirements and reporting near misses

Report workplace injuries immediately and participate in any return-to-work programs or requirements

Be fit for duty and physically capable of performing all required tasks

Other duties as required

Qualifications

Education and Training:

High School Diploma required.

First Aid Certification preferred

WHMIS Certification preferred

Forklift Certification preferred
