Profix Auto is looking for an experienced, motivated Automotive Service Advisor to join our team in South Edmonton.

We are an independent automotive repair shop built on honest advice, quality workmanship and genuine customer care. Our customers trust us because we explain repairs clearly, recommend what their vehicles actually need and treat people fairly.

We’re looking for someone who shares those values, understands the automotive repair process and takes pride in delivering an outstanding customer experience.

About the Role

As our Service Advisor, you will be the primary point of contact between our customers and technicians. You’ll help customers understand their vehicle’s needs, coordinate repairs with the shop team and ensure every customer receives professional, timely communication.

This is an important role in a close-knit shop where your contribution directly affects customer satisfaction and the success of the business.

Key Responsibilities

- Greet customers, listen to their concerns and accurately document vehicle issues.
- Prepare repair orders, estimates and maintenance recommendations.
- Explain diagnostic findings, recommended repairs, pricing and timelines in clear, understandable language.
- Communicate with technicians to prioritize work, monitor repair progress and keep jobs moving efficiently.
- Contact customers for repair approvals and provide regular updates throughout the repair process.




- Schedule appointments and coordinate daily shop workflow.
- Identify maintenance needs and recommend appropriate services without pressure or unnecessary upselling.
- Manage customer questions, concerns and follow-ups professionally.
- Review completed repair orders and invoices for accuracy.
- Help maintain an organized, efficient and positive working environment.

What We’re Looking For

- Previous experience as an Automotive Service Advisor or in a similar automotive service role.
- A good understanding of automotive systems, diagnostics, maintenance and repair procedures.
- Strong communication and customer-service skills.
- The ability to explain technical information in terms customers can understand.
- Excellent organization and time-management skills in a busy shop environment.
- Confidence preparing estimates, discussing repair costs and obtaining customer authorization.
- The ability to work effectively with technicians and management as part of a team.
- A professional, honest and dependable approach to customer relationships.
- Familiarity with Protractor shop-management software is an asset.
- Automotive technical training or an apprenticeship background is an asset.

Most importantly, we want someone customers can trust and technicians enjoy working with. You don’t need to be a master mechanic, but you do need to understand how an automotive repair shop operates.
