We’re hiring a Founding Engineer at Invenar. At Invenar, we’re building a platform that turns messy invoices into structured, practical business data. Our platform helps owner operators running 1-3 locations save time, reduce errors, and gain better visibility into cost variances, consumption trends, supplier price changes, and tax ready reporting. We already have a working backend and mobile app, and we’re looking for an engineer to help us take the product to the next level. We’re looking for someone with strong JavaScript and React skills, solid experience with TypeScript, APIs, databases, and backend systems, and a good understanding of software architecture, cloud infrastructure, and security best practices. You’ll work on challenges involving document processing, OCR, AI powered data extraction, database design, cloud services, system performance, and building reliable, secure, and scalable software. Experience working at an early stage startup is a plus.

We’re looking for someone who thinks beyond individual features, enjoys solving problems across the stack, and wants to help shape the product and make important technical decisions, not just work through a list of tickets.
